Wow, I guess this is the only place with this species ! Howmany did ( do ) they have ?

There were two seals on exhibit. The keeper did mention that the H. Monk Seal was also kept at another facility (somewhere on the west coast of the United States I believe), and that the number in captivity was very small (like < 7), if I remember correctly. I could be wrong.

Minnesota Zoo is “supposedly" getting them for Dicovery Bay.

Sea Life Park, also on Oahu, has at least two pair (or they did 18 months ago).

I think Sealife Park was mentioned as another facility exhibiting the species. I did not go there last visit, but hope too this year.

Sea World San Antonio also has Hawaiian Monk Seal

It's worth visiting, but you'll be disappointed by a number of things there. Like the commercialism.
