Chester Gemsbok has hit the nail on the head.I have been going through the photos of Lieberec Zoo & have come to the following conclusion. Many of the enclosures are actually very well designed-some are even excellent- BUT for other species.Lieberec already has the built environment of a great zoo, but to attain that status, as time goes on, they need a program to switch or replace stock until the animals match the enclosures. This program would be low on financial investment but very high on imagination & resolve.I have seldom seen a clearer case of so much potential in a zoo, if only they would devise such a program (perhaps they have - I do not have this info.-maybe somebody on Zoochat knows more?)
