A hard competition between those two exhibits, which one is the ugliest. Or is there a hidden secret and these constructions are (hair-)drying machines for elephant welfare?
To be fair, elephants don't lend themselves to aesthetically pleasing exhibits. The fact that this park remembered to give the animals shade is very much to their credit, as an awful lot of collections don't.
True. But on the other hand it isn't impossible to built aesthetically pleasing (with more natural looking structures) elephant exhibits that can spend shade as well, is it?
