There are so many flightless birds at this park that it would be easy enough to get a photo of an emu, rhea, fallow deer and cheetah seemingly all together! Naturally those 4 species all fit into the Asian zone of the drive-thru area.
Yes, it is AZA-accredited but with only two African Elephants the facility will have to make a decision to expand their herd or face a loss of accreditation by late 2016. Oregon Zoo and Oregon Coast Aquarium (both excellent establishments) are the only other 2 AZA-accredited facilities in the state.
