Wings are clipped and they are there all day. I assume staff talk them off at night and put them in a night house. There are LOTS of pairs of macaws (clipped) in various holding branches around the zoo - this is the only one over water. (There is a second one that was not in use). So I am not sure if it is always this pair over the water or if they rotate.
