I am really curious as to what the four new rides will be. Also interesting to see they will be adding bears for the first time - a surprising omission so far in such an extensive animal collection.
I have to admit, the bear exhibit intrigues me. I wonder what sort of bears they plan on having. I know Southwest Wildlife Rehab has managed to keep some black bears with no problems due to heat, so maybe Wildlife World can have some, too. I wonder when it will open. Last I was there, I saw a sign for a new Jaguar exhibit and as far as I know, that hasn't materialized yet.
Do not get excited about the new jaguar exhibit. It is done, but currently houses a singing dog. It is one of their plain small metal cages with some dead tree branches mounted horizontally above the ground. Not much better than their current jaguar exhibit (but a little better perhaps).
If it is an Americas area than I am virtually certain it will be black bears, which are a piece of cake to aquire.

And from the list of animals they plan on putting into this new exhibit it would seem like its an Americas type exhibit so Black or Brown Bears are probably likely, with Black being the most likely. It would be neat for an Arizona zoo to have Grizzlies, but I know better than to hope for that.

Oh yeah, they do, don't they? I've only seen them once so it's easy to forget they're there. I guess I should edit my statement to say it would be neat for a more local (to me) zoo have Grizzlies.
