September 2008. Giraffe, ostrich, zebra, oryx and gazelles live on the green savanna, while the trio of hippos have the dirt in the foreground as part of their exhibit.

I always thought that the hippos where in the savannah exhibit and not seperated.

The hippos don't have access to the savanna, although the illusion is impressive as it appears that they do.

It looks great. People would expect the zebras to come down for a drink.
