Woodland Park Zoo - Jaguar Cove

September 2008. Another outstanding exhibit in Seattle, and this one has underwater viewing for the big cats.

This is a brilliant exhibit. It is probably the best Jaguar exhibit there is. For Jaguars it is the complete opposite of Kovler Lion House which does not have any live plants at all and here this exhibit is with tons of them!

The cool thing is that the people that designed this exhibit are also designing the Los Angeles Zoo's South American exhibit, which includes a Jaguar exhibit.

Los Angeles is getting a new South American exhibit?? That is very exciting. Miami is also getting a new South American Exhibit opening next month and it is the same designers as this too. State-of-the-art Jaguar exhibits are going to be more common in a few years. Unfortunately for me, my home zoo does not even have Jaguars.

This jaguar exhibit is better than Miami's and the viewing windows are much larger and the pool looks deeper.

The viewing windows are certainly many times larger than the Miami exhibit in Amazon and Beyond, and that is a major weak point of the new jaguar exhibit in Florida.
