Jaguar Exhibit

April 2009.
Was this the only glimpse of the jaguar you got as it walked from one end of the enclosure to the other?

No, as it actually strolled along the fence towards the back of the exhibit for quite some time before settling down for a snooze. The lush enclosure makes it easy to miss the big cat completely.

I've never seen a jaguar pace in this award-winning exhibit, but that's not to say that some animals don't pace in even the very best enclosures.

Thats good, as I have seen Miami's jaguars pace incessantly. They do everyday from 4-5 PM because they are eager to go inside and get fed, as I was told by the jaguar keeper.
