There is only hotwire around the top of the rock walls in this exhibit, which is actually one of two orangutan enclosures, and that is it for wire. Everything else is naturalistic, and visitors walk around on a raised boardwalk to see the orangs. One negative factor that some folks raise is that many times humans are looking down on the apes, but for realism this exhibit blows away many other orangutan zoo enclosures worldwide. Real trees, real grass, real branches scattered all over the two large and densely planted enclosures.
