Yus... a successful panorama shot, fantastic. I'd say the grass in between really helps pull of these kind of views. Honolulu Zoo has something like this for their savanna enclosures that gets rid of barriers, just got get rid of that horrible Hawaiian grass and put something more realistic in.
The Woodland Park Zoo has loads of exhibits (grizzly bear, river otter, rocky mountain goat, elk, arctic wolf, lion, patas monkey, African Savanna, gorillas) where it is difficult to figure out where the hidden moats are. It is a little unnerving for some first-time visitors, as they expect the animals to leap out of their enclosures.
That's what I remember most about my one-time visit. The animal exhibits were by far the best I've seen, and the Northern trail was very realistic and natural looking. The river otters were also fabulous to watch.
