This has the potential to be a great gila exhibit. It has the two things I most look for in reptile exhibits - a large floor size and natural substrate and furniture.
The only problem is that ghastly concrete wall at the back. Hide it somehow - even if you just paint it so it blends in with the rest of the scene!
The exhibit is indeed huge, but the building it is located in is at least 30 years old and it definitely shows its age. The southern American zoos are the ones with extensive reptile collections and beautifully constructed buildings, while generally speaking the northern zoos have smaller, but still perfectly adequate, reptile collections.
