I haven't been to Seattle since 1996, this look's like the same Rainforest I walked through then; with humidity included. When did it first open? And the African Savannah(Savanna: either spelling is correct), Gorilla habitat, Grizzly Bear exhibit, and Elephant habitat were already around then as well. Hopefully I'll make it back up that way again in the near future.

The Tropical Rainforest building opened in 1992, and that included the outdoor renovations of the red-flanked duiker and red ruffed lemur islands. You arrived shortly after the Northern Trail (1994) and Trail of Vines (1995) additions were completed, but it is time for a return trip!:) The zoo has added "Bug World", komodo dragons, an African village, African wild dogs, a walk-through parrot/lorikeet building, "Zoomazium" (a $10 million indoor children's area), penguins, flamingos, jaguars, etc since your last visit 13 years ago.
