If children venture into the small cave on the right and touch the clutch of eggs on the ground then a loud series of penguin sounds will emerge and startle everyone within earshot. This area is adjacent to the main exhibit, as the brand-new penguin enclosure (opened in spring of 2009) is child-friendly, and penguins are naturally popular with visitors of all ages.
