Rocky Mountain Goat/Arctic Fox Exhibit - See 2 Foxes?

Feb. 7th, 2010. There is an arctic fox of the blue colour phase about 3 feet to the right of the fox of the white colour phase. The blue fox does not alter its coat throughout the year.

Does anyone know what they've done with the old arctic fox exhibit now that they are mixed with the goats?

There is a barred owl in the old Arctic fox enclosure. The trio of mesh exhibits in that area have these animals: one barred owl; one magpie/two porcupines; 3 snowy owls (1.1.1).

Thanks, I recall when I visited this exhibit over a decade ago, those exhibits had fishers, porcupines, and either magpies or ravens I don't quite recall. Of course the fisher wasn't visible, so that species remains on my list of "Animals yet to see".

The original inhabitants of this exhibit were Rocky Mountain goats (which has been the case since the inception of this basalt outcropping) but also hoary marmots were in the habitat before they were phased out and eventually replaced by Arctic foxes.

(I recently purchased via amazon.com a 1995 Woodland Park Zoo guide book - thus the plethora of new information at my fingertips:))
