Nice species. End of the 1990-ties there was a breeding-programm for them in American zoos for them. Does this still exist and how is the species doing in America ?

No idea! I don't spend nearly enough time in the aviaries, but this is first green aracari I've seen. San Diego has an Ivory-bill and Curl-crested, but no Green to my knowledge.
San Francisco & Oakland are my local zoos, and they don't have any either.
I'm still annoyed that San Francisco & Oakland are missing Swainson's toucans. Both zoos are sorely lacking in the avian species, though.
Green Aracaris are probably the most common aracari species in North American zoos. They are considered to be a managed population within AZA institutions (under a yellow-level SSP program) with roughly around 120 individuals in 30 NA institutions currently.
Is this the only species of Aracari they have? I’ve seen them kept as pets before. There are several US breeders of Green Aracaris. But, I don’t get the name, since they don’t have any green coloring on them! They are very common in US zoos, though.
