This exhibit, which for many years held Japanese Serow, was the brief home to a couple of aging female Cheetahs last year. Now there will be new occupants, as Maned Wolves have been lined up to make the enclosure their home, although I have no idea how many of the canids are expected to be at the zoo.
So it appears they are moving further away from the Temerate Forest theme in that area, although keeping with endangered species. Hopefully they can add further to their South American collection down this side of the zoo, and relocate the others to the Asian area (red panda, cranes, other birds).
