Judging just from the pictures, I have the impression that there is land/space wasted that could have been used for the elephants. Anyway, cause WPZ is phasing out this species, this point will be solved by its own.

The exhibit was built in 1989 and it is quite long and narrow, although the barn is totally inadequate by today's rising standards. The real question is whether the zoo will add Greater One-Horned Rhinos, as has been the rumor for years, or whether the area will be broken up into smaller exhibits.
