I'm still trying to find the space for two enclosures. Well, with only something like 12 acres they still have a fairly impressive collection. And at least they're renovating. What zoo, especially older zoo, doesn't need renovation somewhere? Certainly my home zoo L.A., and even San Diego.
This photo doesn't show it very well because you are basically looking at the grotto from the side. It's a little deeper than it looks from this photo. The piece of concrete in between the two pieces of concrete with holes in them, is the one that used to be the dividing wall. Plans are in place to renovate this grotto in the relative near future.

Renovations are ongoing for the zoo's sloth bear. They have regraded the exhibit making the moat useable space, effectively tripling the available space for the animal. An added bonus is there will be face-to-face viewing in a covered glass-viewing area.
