I could be mistaken, but this looks like a sloth bear to me.

I know the picture looks like a sloth bear but the sign did say asian black bear. This is one of the few times that I'm almost positive.....(that being said I could have a memory cramp

Hey guys just downloaded a side profile the next in the set . Now I think you can tell it's an asian black bear...........

Doesn't look like the same animal, look at the build, the nose, the way the hair lays. I do believe Miami rotates these two species in the same exhibit though...

Yes I am certain they are different. This is a sloth bear, the other an Asian black bear.

Yeah I realized afterwards that the two bear species must have been side by side and the shots were taken one after the other which explains my confusion.
