I was there on opening day for this $50 million set of habitats, and it was plainly obvious that many of the trees had just recently been planted. There were even piles of dirt around some of them as if they had been tossed in overnight!
I heard that when it was under construction, DAK gave its plants two seasons to grow in order to give the park a mature quality. Amazon and beyond looks more like some neatly planted flowerbeds than the amazon, still, give it a year or so.
