While a large section of the enclosure is surrounded by chain-link fencing, this photo illustrates the fact that there is also a raised, open-top viewing area. The exhibit is a full acre in size, heavily wooded, and it contains only two wolves (1.1). Amazingly I actually saw both wolves on my visit!
