With the chimps now in the (excellent) Evolution Pavilion (or something like that!) this is available for the zoo's mandrills - although, as with the chimps here, on multiple walk-bys over two days, they seemed to eschew the (aesthetically, at least) more pleasant environment shown here, and chose instead to remain in their (rather horrible) old-style barred cages (I'm assuming that they could enter this larger exhibit, although it was impossible to tell whether the tunnel was open). In fact, none of the primates in the grotty monkey house seem to realise how unfortunate they are to be living in such grim surroundings: they all seem very healthy, very active, and very fecund.
