The bigger macaques look like little bears, very stocky.

What side of the road do they drive on in China?

they do actually look rather bear-like because they are really stocky and have very thick fur.

Officially you drive on the right side of the road in China, so most of these macaques are on the correct side for the direction they are travelling in! In actuality you drive on whichever side of the road is smoothest and has the least number of larger vehicles on it.

It's a shame European zoos are lacking in this species, it is like a less god-awfully ugly version of a Bear Macaque :p

I was going to say the same Mr Moderator,;) They are very similar but longer coated without those ugle bare/speckled faces. Mind you, even a few more Bear Macaques would be welcome...

You should get yourself to Gentleshaws one of these days, they have quite a lot of oddities for such a small rescue centre and their Bear Macaques are incredibly active.

I would certainly like to see more macaque species in the UK, and moor macaques in particular ;)
