Maybe we read the same article. I saw it in the news a few years ago that extremely rich Chinese people will spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on this breed.

As far as I know, only a part of the rich in our country would like to have this dog, and who owns a Tibetan mastiff is not necessarily rich.

Anyhow, the dog has nothing to do with fame.

A thoroughbred Tibetan mastiff is very expensive, but the cheapest one can be about 1,000 dollars.
