In which part of the zoo is this giant flying squirrel please? Is it inside that Nightmare Nocturnal House? I was in Beijing zoo several times and never could see it. Thank you.
No not in the nocturnal house. Between the panda section and the canine and monkey hill. In the rows of cages that have pheasants followed by a few mammals - racoons, monkeys, ferrets etc
When you went left after raccoon and palm civet to head to nocturnal house if you had gone right you would have passed a series of small mammal cages and they were there. We went to the zoo 3 times across 3 different days and this was the best view we got so you may have only seen a back

I can't remember which cages were which around there to be honest. I *think* the ones you mention had some monkeys in them but I am probably thinking of entirely different cages. Or maybe I missed that lot of cages entirely.
