Unlabelled Coati

Unlabelled Coati 20130702
Was labelled as Common Racooon. Doesn\'t quite look right for white nosed and not like ring tailed\'s in other enclosure.

Mountain Coati?

Doesn't look anything like a Mountain Coati this is either a particularly dark white-nosed coati, or possibly a hybrid of ring-tailed and white-nosed.

I nkow what you mean but does look a bit like this one.....although maybe wrong ID here too?

TLD there are around half a dozen mountain coati in captivity (prob more) that I know of! Interestingly these animals include specimens of both sub-species!

Indeed it does......

I obviously didn't check all the sources....

The other phot of the specimen in Bejing shows that it is clearly a ring-tailed coati

Interesting; these must have come into captivity since 2010 then, when the above photo was taken?

according to this Beijing only holds Brown nosed coati (although the article is from 2009)
