enclosure for thylacines (Thylacinus cynocephalus)

This shows only a small part of the enclosure which was very large and well-planted. Unfortunately I did not see any of the thylacines so I cannot say how many they had.

See here for what else I saw: http://www.zoochat.com/247/small-review-beijing-zoo-17-sept-337116/
As elusive as ever....maybe a few tins of Tassie beer should be put out to try and lure the critter into showing himself! ;)

I haven't read your review (yet) where it may be mentioned- but is this supposed to be a 'moralistic' enclosure i.e. look its empty 'cos the animal is extinct?..(or not).

it is actually the macropod enclosure (at least red-necked wallabies, maybe kangaroos...I can't quite remember). It is a very large enclosure and on each solid section there is a sign about a different Australian animal, including thylacine and platypus. I can't read Chinese of course so when I was there the impression was that this was a mixed enclosure with signs showing what was in there -- obviously not the case in reality but that was what it looked like.

This is the enclosure: http://www.zoochat.com/634/macropod-enclosure-australian-section-348575/

but maybe it's actually a holding pen for what they feed to the off-display thylacines......

Please can someone post this over on one of the stupider crypto forums and claim it's from KIm Jong-un's private zoo or something. Or can I?
