A fantastic new exhibit featuring cascading tanks for various native river fish and a pair of exhibits for European Otters. An exhibit for Grass Snakes is currently empty.

This looks lovely. Far too often in European zoos we ignore out native wildlife for exotic alternatives, when what we have the species at home to make interesting exhibits. In my 26 years visiting British zoos I have still never seen a grass snake, a European adder, or a sand lizard. And I can only recall the New Forest Wildlife Park keeping European Otters. Quite disgraceful, imo.
