Although the bear pits at Chengdu don't appear to be very good, thanks are nonetheless due to you, Javin. That series of shots - Ursus arctos isabellinus, U.a. pruinosus and U.thibetanus - is fascinating. Blue Bear could so very easily be a hybrid of the other two taxa. A look at its DNA really does seem to be worthwhile.
