Chlidonias

Tibetan blue bears (Ursus arctos pruinosus)

begging for food thrown by the visitors.

November 2013
As they say 'round the parts: that ain't no subspecies.

Definitely interesting pelage, with the bluish ticking overall and the large blond collar and face. I do not believe I have seen this before. Do all the bears from that region have this appearance, or is it random?

I believe all the bears of this subspecies look like this.
