Chlidonias

freshwater sawfish (Pristis microdon)

in the Australia Zone, in a painfully small tank. Sim has a photo from 2006 in this gallery showing the same fish (presumably) in the same tank.

yeah, this tank and the Spotted Seal tank were both really bad. Are you going to do a review of your visit? A couple of sections of the aquarium during my visit were probably temporary-ish exhibit areas (e.g. the martial arts one and the Yangtze River one), so would be interesting to see changes.

The 'temporary' areas are the same as from your visit, as far as I can tell. I'll be be doing an 'impressions' write up at some point in the next few days.
The sad thing is, apart from animal welfare considerations, that this is probably the most impressive specimin in the aquarium. It would be so much better in one of the tunnel tanks in the basement.
