Wahlberg's Epauletted Bat at Plzen, 25/05/10

Never heard of these - that is one wierd looking bat!

I loved how huge it's head looked.

its interesting that they get fed on the ground, rather than some sort of raised platform which would seem to make more sense

in fact these animals came from TP Berlin, where they are labelled as Gambian Epauletted bat. The Berlin animals came from Krefeld, where al epauletted bats in Europe come from. Those are also labelled as gambian epauletted bats. So these are likely also Gambian epauleted bat...
