there are three elephants in this enclosure. I expect they are taken out for riding and so forth as well. The photo makes it look smaller than it is I think, but it is better than most elephant enclosures in Asian zoos. Just that there's not a lot for them to actually do in there!
@Chlidonias This enclosure has since been expanded into the old predator enclosures, and high chain-link fences have been erected around most of the high-profile species' habitats to prevent... human stupidity and ignorance from taking course.
