sooty, maguari, is this zoo worth really worth a visit, as with liberic, dvur kralove and prague? if so, it is defiantly on the cards for a visit, after my planned visit with my friends to russia for the 2018 world cup!, which would of course mean a visit to moscow zoo, is the language barrier an issue in The czech Republic? thankyou

Absolutely yes. I'm not over keen on ranking things, but this would probably be a top-5 zoo for me (certainly top 10). Probably not quite as overall high-quality as Prague, but given Prague has reasonable claim on being the best in Europe that's not much of a criticism. I'd place it well above Dvur. Not done Liberec yet (ask me again in September).
My Czech vocab is minimal at best but it's never been a problem, but it's worth having a decent phrasebook in your bag just in case! One of my proudest language moments was managing to remember enough Czech to ask for one guide in English and one in Czech at Dvur! ("jedna cesky, jedna anglicky" was what I said if I recall).
