Identification please?

I believe it could be a Rusa, but as there is not enough of the deer in the picture I am not certain

After looking at the doe I am less sure now. The head is not right. What were the antlers.

Possibly Elds deer?

the antlers aren't right for Eld's deer (the alternative name of brow-antlered deer refers to the sweep of the forward tines). The female in the other photo has a very horsey head and looks like a female Eld's deer though. Maybe there is more than one species in the paddock.

Deer aren't really my thing though.

Yes - after looking at the photos the female does look different.

The antlers look like Hog Deer.

the head is too long and the ears the wrong shape for hog deer

What about a Smabar Deer?

I'd be inclined to go with Monty for this deer and say rusa, but really deer aren't something I'm great on
