I saw no sign on the pen, I assume they are the Malayan river turtle [i]Orlitia borneensis[/i]. All the individuals were painted in bright colours as this one

nope, just to make them prettier I think. Each one had its name painted on the shell, in this case 'Amy' on the left and what may be 'Anna' on the right - many of them had English names for some reason
