red form of Asian dragonfish (Scleropages formosus)

This species in endangered in the wild due to overcollection for the aquarium trade (and probably habitat degradation from pollutants). It is probably now extinct in Thailand and Myanmar and there is a virtual moratorium on international trade.

The chinese consider red to be a lucky colour, and a red one like this would be worth in excess of $10,000 if fully grown.
