Water Rail?

According to the signage on its cage this is a Water Rail (Rallus aquaticus) but it has totally different colouring from the Water Rail images I have seen! So what is it?

Looks like a White-breasted Water Hen, Amaurornis phoenicurus - which is close enough for the sign to be a slip in translation.

I agree with Maguari's identification, having seen this species in the parrot house at Chester in 1980. I got a terrible photo, but it is the only time I've ever seen this species.

From memory, I think the first place I saw one was Twycross. I have also seen the species wild in Borneo.

I'm also sure it's a White-breasted Waterhen, seen then in the 80-ties for sale by several dealers in the Netherlands and also in a few privat collections.

Checked Zootierliste, at the moment only one European collection is keeping them : Tropiquarium in Servion - Switserland.
In earlier days kept in quite a number of collectiond but only 3 have recorded breeding :
Frankfurt
Stuttgart
Amsterdam Zoo

Thanks everyone, however this one won't be doing any breeding cos it was the only one.
