It undubtedly is a hog deer. If it is of a local origin it must be C.p.annamiticus. There is surprisingly very little information on the current status of that subspecies and even pictures are a rarity. Well done then!

The Indochinese hog deer (Hyelaphus porcinus annamiticus) is far more endangered then the Indian hog deer (Hyelaphus porcinus porcinus), but I believe that Chiang Mai Zoo also has Indochinese hog deer that are doing well and breeding
