Yes, I arrived Kuala Tahan at 16:30, then went directly to Kuala Trenggan by boat, then managed to get into Kumbang hide at 18:30, then spent one night and one morning there. Because there are eight guys in the hide that night, no tapirs showed. The next morning when the backpackers left, the tapir came at 8:30!

wow lucky this one came by in the morning then! My first night there no tapirs were seen (or at least I couldn't see them through the rain! ), but lots on the other nights and one on one of the mornings.

Yes, I was so excited to see it come by, as I nearly gave up. I think I will return to Sabah some years later, for the Sunda clouded leopard, marbled cat, flat-headed cat and banded civet.
