A nice shot, of a species I will hopefully be seeing in April when I finally go on my long-delayed trip to the various collections of Berlin and Leipzig.
I only managed two photos of this species when at Bukit Fraser and they differed only in lighting -- this was the better of the two but I still don't like it much. The squirrels were always so high up and they are so tiny and fast!
I got better photos (I think -- I haven't looked at them on a computer screen yet) of the species while in Burma. I'm quite pleased that I managed to get photos of all the Tamiops that I've so far seen in the wild, those being macclellandii, swinhoei and maritimus. Just the Cambodian rodolphii to go!
