This was a habituated animal who spent most of his time around the field centre. In 10 days at Danum, I only saw them out in the forest once. Unless you stayed at the Rainforest Lodge, presumably he's no more?
If you ever head back to Sabah, several lodges (eg. the Kinabatangan Jungle Camp) have similarly tame bearded pigs.

I did stay at the Rainforest Lodge, so may have missed him (although we did make trips to the field centre and I hope they would have mentioned him if he was still around). Have to find one next time.
If you stay at the Kinabatangan Jungle Camp, and you are pretty much guaranteed to see them. They came to the camp every night! But we also saw them from the car on the roads a few times.

Aaaah! I stayed at Sukau Rainforest Lodge unfortunately. We do have plans to head back to Borneo, so will have to check out the other Kinabatangan lodges.
