They seem to me being Bawean Deers too, just have compared this shot with my older photos, taken in Poznan Zoo ( which keeps this species as one of only two european collections too) and I´m pretty sure these are indeed Bawean Deers.
Thanks for the confirmation, I looked at my notes but the zoo had so many different deer species in similar enclosures. What makes it a bit harder as well is that these are does and not bucks. By the way, can you add the link to your Poznan photo please?
It will be a bit problem, because I have used an older type of camera (not digital during that time), so I will have to use a scanner to input and it would take a long time, I am very busy these days, so mayby later, but you can have a look at the website zootierliste.de, there are photos of Bawean Deer taken in Poznan Zoo. And by the way, I am not a good photographer. But i like your shots, especially the older photos you have inputed into Germany and Netherlands gallery.
