Pangasius and arapaima, Zoo Negara (KL)

What else is kept in there?

I can't make out what they are..?

I can see the arapimas..

If I remember right there were just arapaima and Pangasius in the tank. Of the two fish visible in the photo the arapaima is above the awestruck kid, and there's a Pangasius just above the person sitting on the right. There was no signage on the tank, so I don't know what species of Pangasius they were. This tank was a big stand-alone job, not connected to the aquarium building.

This tank now has signage (as of my visit this week)!

Species on the labels were Chao Phraya giant catfish Pangasius sanitwongsei, African giant catfish Clarius gariepinus, red-tailed catfish Phractocephalus hemioliopterus, arapaima Arapaima gigas, alligator gar Atractosteus spatula (on the sign labelled as Attractosteus platostoma), pacu Colossoma macropomum, Mozambique tilapia Oreochromis mossambicus and midas cichlid Amphilophus citrinellus.
