you know what? Looking at this photo again, I think this is likely a Chinese Ferret-badger (Melogale moschata).
In the Burmese Ferret-badger the dorsal stripe should be much more extensive. Unfortunately the tail of the animal is mostly missing (the extent of white on the end of the tail also differs between the two species).
Burmese Ferret-badgers are found throughout Burma and the Chinese Ferret-badger only in the north, so both are possibilities.
