A view across Bay South Garden from the raised boardwalk amongst the super trees. The taller dome is the Cloud Forest Dome and the lower one is the Flower Dome. You can also see the Singapore Flyer.

Looks awesome PAT, definitely worth checking out next time I'm there. How much did it cost to get in? Are the domes heated or cooled at all?

The gardens are free but there are small fees for the two domes and the raised boardwalk. You can buy a joint ticket for the two domes.
And they were both cooled. I'm a serious humidity sweater (give me a dry 40 degrees any day) so it was a nice chance to recover.

Gees, cooling them must be fairly expensive!

Nice pictures Pat! I love this place too and visit it often. Just to add on some details, both domes are cooled to about 22 degrees celsius in the day and a bit lower at night. The Flower Dome is 1.2 hectares in size and has low humidity to replicate temperate climates. Cloud Forest is 0.8 hectares in size and has higher humidity to replicate tropical montane forest conditions.

The costs are reduced by using 'green' technology which is featured around the gardens. Most of the energy used to cool the domes is derived from a biomass furnace which uses plant waste (such as trimmings) collected from around the country. The cooling mechanism using chilled pipes running under the ground is supposed to be more efficient too.
