Cloud Forest at Gardens by the Bay

I just thought there might be some zoochatters who would be interested in gardens by the bay. There aren\'t many animals (Singapore isn\'t short of animal attractions anyway) but the design of the buildings and gardens is incredible and well worth a visit. I can upload more photos if people are interested.

Can you give some more details about this place? I haven't heard of it before, it it new?

EDIT: I see there are a couple of other photos in this gallery, so maybe I had heard of it, then forgotten...

If I remember correctly it opened in sections over a couple of years but this part was completed in 2012. It's already quite a destination and features on souvenirs all over Singapore.
The three main attractions are the Cloud Forest Dome (pictured), the Flower Dome (which represents plants from mediterranean climates around the world), and the giant artificial trees which act as vertical gardens for bromeliads, ferns, orchids, and other epiphytes.

Are there some animals in this Dome?

@German Zoo World no animals are on display here. Once in a while a wild sparrow or 2 will find their way into the dome through ventilation windows.
