@Chlidonias: for the most part, yes. There are still some pesky white-vented mynas (natives that found their way into the aviary), the odd red-whiskered bulbul and a couple of caciques.
@Arizona: unfortunately the park is planning to replace the monorail with conventional ground trams. Upgrading the aging monorail was deemed too costly and trams would be able to carry higher passenger loads.
That is too bad, because I really like zoo monorails. Busch Gardens and San Diego Wild Animal Park both got rid of theirs and the parks are not as good as a result IMO.
The one at Dallas Zoo is excellent, driven and narrated by ZooChat's own jbnbsn99. Really well conceived at how it goes through a series of decent sized but different african habitats - river, mountain, forest, desert, savanna. Dispels the popular notion that Africa is just one giant grassland.
