Always be there for the 8am opening - you'll need the full day and if you go straight to this African nocturnal house you'll find most of the lights still on and the newly-fed animals active.
Considering the many, MANY species you have been seeing of late which make most of us extremely jealous, you are the last person on Earth allowed to complain about a nice species being offshow especially as you are, as far as can be told, the last person to have seen the very last Zorilla in Europe!

I missed them by less than a year So I am complaining about those! Maguari did you ever post your streaked tenrec photos?

I didn't post anything from off-show at Pilsen in the end, and most of the rodent pictures are not especially good shots anyway - but I think I can rustle up a tenrec. Just a sec...
I have a feeling you have seen almost all the carnivore ticks which are bound to make me wildly envious the day you see African Golden Cat, Marbled Cat and Patagonian Weasel is the day you *will* have to be put to death

I tease; some of the species you have photographed recently are pretty unrepresented online - especially the differences between the three species of "pampas cat" - and so the service you render is worth your making us all very jealous!
As it stands, all you need is to get photos of Patagonian Weasel and African Striped Weasel and you will have the set as far as galitictine mustelids go - unfortunately I believe nowhere has the former, and although the latter are in the USA in dribs and drabs occasionally I do not think there are any at present.

Either streaked tenrec species are at the top of my list! If I don't see them at Plzen, there's a possible trip to Madagascar in my future- finger's crossed.
Speaking of unrepresented- I've tried and so far I can't find a photo of a living Patagonian Weasel on the internet.
Also I've photographed African Striped Weasels in Philadelphia, Omaha, and Cincinnati. Saw them in Cincinnati in summer of 2011- not sure if they're still there. Was at Philly and Omaha earlier this summer and pretty sure that both no longer have African Striped Weasels. Utah's Hogle Zoo had them in the past, but I've never been there. A quick check of their website doesn't list them..but that's never foolproof.
Care to make us a bit more jealous and upload your African Striped and Saharan Striped photos?

I'll upload those 2 weasel species just for you. Some day, I have to get around to the rest of the 1054 Plzen Zoo photos I took over 1.5 days. I know I saw 99 new mammal species, but I've never counted how many I photographed total.
Excellent thanks for the uploads - and you managed to throw in a few marbled polecat shots too, which means that barring the debated Patagonian Weasel you have uploaded a pretty hefty resource of life-images of galictine mustelids onto Zoochat! The group needs more love badly, I feel - cladistically they are as unique and derived as the otters, yet many people just think of them (when they even think of them) as some kind of skunk or polecat.
